Owatta! (Finished!)

Finished "The Love We Share Without Knowing" today, my second novel.

Now I should probably start thinking of a different title.

I think it woefully unfair that you don't even offer a hint what the book is about. Come on, tease us!

Actually, Owatta! is a great title. Maybe not for this book. But for something.

Thanks all, I'm really glad to have finished before I leave Japan. It feels right to have started writing it soon after I arrived here and to finish it soon before I leave.

Steve, Um, the title sort of is a thematic clue. It's a sort of like a Miyazaki film told in the style of a Robert Altman film (huge cast of characters, various tied together, most of whom don't know it), structured similarly to David Mitchell's novels Ghostwritten and Cloud Atlas. And lots more, but I'm too close to it still to really be able to describe it effectively.

Gwenda, I actually kinda like the title too. I just think other people won't. It's a line from the book, written in a love hotel diary by a man who goes to love hotels alone.

Rick, Owatta! will be my final novel, or perhaps the title of my memoirs.

Dave, I want you to read it too. :-)
