don't say such things about my jakey!
actually i was wondering the same thing...he is much more embracing of his gay love, but i still think that heath's protrayal was more honest because it was more encompassing...like,jack was always wanting to be with him, but then he would go to juarez for a quickie...whereas ennis hid his love because he was taught it was so wrong, but it encompassed his entire life and limited every other relationship he had...so he was afraid of it but he totally showed it, just not as eagerly...and maybe that is why heath is viewed as the stronger actor.
they both got oscar noms, though (jake for supporting), and michelle williams too, and ang lee...no ann hathaway, though...what did you think of her performance?
